Summary:

Sensei George continues to travel and train with some of the leading martial artists in the

continental United State and internal arts practitioners. He is a licensed educator, and believes

education is a vital part of life; he has taught and practiced karate since 1973. He began

studying Judo and Shotokan Karate in Freetown West Africa at the Shangoja Martial Arts

Academy of which he was a co-founder and Head Instructor. He traveled to the United States in

1981 and continued training with Sensei Suleiman in Houston Texas. Sensei George has

trained in several different disciplines to include Praying Mantis Kung Fu (Master Park Ji Moon,

South Korea), Hawaii Okinawan Kenpo Karate (Kyoshi Bunch, Hawaii), and American open

style Karate (Shihan Beverly, North Carolina). Sensei George has been an outstanding

competitor in Kumite, Traditional Forms, as well as Traditional Weapons. He is renowned for his

exceptional technical expertise and teaching skills. He strives to influence the lives of students,

young and old, to help them understand the Do (way/path) of karate to achieve personal goals.
